Byron Trott, vice chairman of Goldman Sachs' (NYSE:GS) investment banking division at its Chicago office, is leaving to start his own merchant banking firm. Trott gained fame working as an adviser at Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A) and gained much praise from Warren Buffet prior to joining Goldman. Trott's new business will be named BDT Capital Partners and will focus on family owned and entrepreneurial companies.
