Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) announced Tuesday evening that its Co-President and 26-year veteran, Jon Winkelried will be stepping down from his position effective at the end of March, putting more responsibility in the hands of Gary Cohn. Winkelried was a partner at the firm before it went public in 1999. Mr. Cohn, who has a background in trading silver as well as fixed-income, will become the firm's only president as well as chief operating officer.
